Adonyas Argaw

Computer Science Student, University of Washington (Seattle) • Building toward AWS Cloud / DevOps • Seattle, WA

I’m Adonyas Argaw, an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Washington in Seattle. I’m building toward an AWS-focused career and developing hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting, and deployment through practical projects. My current focus is on core AWS services, IAM, networking fundamentals, and serverless application design, while also preparing for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C03) certification. I’m looking for an entry-level role where I can grow quickly in cloud, support, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering and contribute with strong ownership, documentation, and a reliable execution mindset.

AWS Projects

AWS Hosted Portfolio Website (S3 + CloudFront + Route 53 + ACM)
Completed

Personal portfolio site hosted on AWS with static content delivery, HTTPS, and custom domain configuration.

  • Configured Amazon S3 as the origin and used CloudFront for secure global delivery.
  • Connected a custom domain with Route 53 and HTTPS through AWS Certificate Manager.
  • Handled content updates through versioned file changes and CloudFront invalidations.
Serverless Personal Expense Tracker (S3 + API Gateway + Lambda + DynamoDB)
Completed

Serverless web application for recording expenses, viewing transaction history, and calculating monthly spending totals.

  • Built a static frontend hosted in Amazon S3 and connected it to a backend API using API Gateway and AWS Lambda.
  • Used DynamoDB to store expense records and support queries for listing transactions and calculating monthly totals.
